Reiki is a Japanese word for universal life energy, the vital force that flows through all matter, that is activated and flows through the hand of a practitioner for healing. It is based on ancient Tibetan method of natural healing discovered by Dr Mikao Usui, who lived in Japan in the 1800’s. Reiki is by no means a religion and does not contradict any religious beliefs.

What can Reiki be used for?

As a Reiki therapist we can channel the life energy or life force through our hands and body into you, the clients body, allowing your body to heal itself. Reiki can work on all levels of being so can help physical, mental and emotional imbalances that may occur.

Illness or disease occurs because the life force energy has become impaired in some way. Reiki can help balance the flow of energy throughout your body.

Is there a consultation process?

Yes. If you have a computer, to save your treatment time, we’ll send you a consultation form to complete before you come along for your treatment.This will allow you to detail any conditions you have such as aches and pains, allergies etc. This will remain confidential between you and your therapist. You will need to sign the form to say that you are happy to go ahead with the treatment.

When you arrive we’ll chat through this to fully understand what you would like to get out of your Reiki treatment and establish any areas that will require additional treatment.

Where will I be treated?

Your Reiki will be in a comfortable, calm treatment room with soft lighting.

After your consultation, your therapist will show you to your treatment room where you will then lie on the bed, cover yourself with 2 luxury towels & only then will your therapist re-enter the treatment room.

What will happen during the treatment?

During your Reiki therapy, you can be dressed, the more comfortable you feel the better. Your therapist will place his hand on the part of your body that is being treated and will hold them in a static position for several minutes before moving to a new position to re-channel energy here.

What do I do during a Reiki treatment?

Make yourself comfortable. If your therapist wants you to adjust your position, he or she will either move you or will ask you to move as necessary. Otherwise, change your position anytime to make yourself more comfortable. Many people close their eyes and relax completely during a session. Do not hesitate to ask questions at any time.

How will I feel after a Reiki Treatment ?

You may feel tired or relaxed after your Reiki, however, most people will then feel they have a new lease of life. Drink lots of water after your treatment

Would I be able to have a Reiki?

Anyone can have a Reiki treatment.
